Mission StatementThe original mission of the Durham Engineer's Club was to promote the general principles and policies of engineering and to share in the advancement of engineering projects of civil interest. HistoryThe Durham Engineer's Club was founded in 1944 by local engineers from Durham, North Carolina and the surrounding areas. There first meeting was held on May 15, 1944 in the auditorium of the Duke Power Company. W. M. Piatt, C. D. Faucette, Guy H. Bennett and T. C.
