proudly announces our
2020 Scholarship Award Winners
Because our annual scholarship awards banquet, typically held as part of our May
monthly meeting, is not possible this year, the Club officers are proud to announce the
awardees online.
The Durham Engineers Club scholarships go to high school seniors who are graduating
from the Durham Public Schools and have been accepted to a four-year ABET-accredited
engineering program. These students were selected based on their academic record,
extra-curricular activities and community contributions, and aspirations for studying
engineering. Shown below are the awardees, their high school, and the school they will be
attending.
The officers wish to give special thanks to Maha and Ford Chambliss for an extremely
generous donation to our scholarship fund. This enabled the Club to increase the
number of scholarships awarded for 2020.
Please join us in offering our congratulations and best wishes to these students in their
engineering endeavors!
